On May 14th, the concluding stage of training for pro bono lawyers took place. During this event, participants received information about the specific interactions between lawyers and victims during the investigation and court proceedings of certain gender-based crimes, including the gender-sensitive approach to investigating crimes against girls. At the end of the event, the lawyers were awarded certificates and letters of appreciation.
The goal of this event was to activate the role of pro bono lawyers, legal professionals, and human rights defenders in providing legal protection to victims of human trafficking within criminal cases related to trafficking in persons.
This event is being implemented within the framework of the project “Providing legal assistance to victims of human trafficking” with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
