On December 16th, a Quiz Day was held on the topic of “Restorative Justice.” The quiz was dedicated to Human Rights Day, celebrated worldwide on December 10th each year. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a document that proclaimed the inalienable rights of every individual.
The aim of this quiz was to explore key historical facts, principles, and values of restorative justice. It also aimed to develop participants’ critical thinking skills by allowing them to consider various perspectives on justice and fairness.
During the quiz, participants answered open-ended questions related to the fundamental principles and practices of restorative justice. They were presented with situational tasks where they had to analyze real-life cases, films, and propose methods for their resolution using restorative justice approaches.
This event was conducted in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Probation Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic.
